The Japanese version is cheaper but I want to be able to read and know what I need to do, part of the mystery is reading the lore of the game that gives you a better understanding.
I definitely recommend the price point for any diehard Saturn collector. The battle system is really fun and total works for Panzer game. Really shows what the Saturn can do, it's not the best game graphically the system offers but it is well put together. There are no "my dog is trapped in a dangerous dungeon, save him!" missions. The side quests (there's not many of them but they're there) does not detract from his mission overall. And he doesn't want to lose sight of that, initially. There is a sense of urgency in Edge's quest because he has one goal in mind - revenge. The progression of the game is logical and makes sense.
I don't want to ruin it but all I can say it starts off with a typical tale of revenge but oh boy. It leaves a lot to the imagination but the world itself is so interesting and captivating. It can be a bit too easy, your dragon can get uber powerful and fast.Įnriching story that goes in-depth and explains some of the many unanswered questions of the first two games.The final dungeon is a bit of a drag too.But once you're out of there, awesome stuff happens. 1st and 2nd disk are incredible until the last hour or so of disk 2 - You're trapped in a dungeon-like-maze and the enemies there are super easy.But let me give you all the flaws that I found first: Was it worth it? Personally, yes! I play it once a year since I got it from start to finish. A true triumph.I personally paid about that much for the game. It’s not only the best racing game on Sega’s console, but easily the best in its library. While many other racers threatened to dethrone Sega Rally, none of them succeeded. Each available car feels significantly different too, further enhancing Sega Rally’s longevity, and it’s even possible to tweak the Toyota Celica and Lancia Delta, which wasn’t an option in the arcade original. Yes, it’s short on tracks (like many arcade racers of the time) but each and every one of them is so well designed that you’ll spend forever examining every last inch of mud and asphalt in order to create the best possible lap times.
While it’s certainly not arcade perfect – it lacks the force feedback, the rearview mirror, and is visually downgraded in certain areas – it remains a stunningly accurate replication and nails every important aspect of the acclaimed game, from its excellent physics to its realistic handling. Astonishing is perhaps the best way to sum up Sega’s conversion of its hit arcade game.
